1. Who We Are
Triangle Liquidators, LLC (“Triangle Liquidators,” “TL,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates an online auction platform with local pickup in North Carolina and South Carolina. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use our websites and services, including triangleliquidators.com and bid.triangleliquidators.com (collectively, the “Services”).
2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to information we collect through the Services and in connection with auctions, purchases, and customer pickup. It does not apply to third-party websites, applications, or services that may be linked from our Services.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide to Us
- Account and profile information (such as name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and mailing address).
- Auction and purchase information (such as bids, items purchased, invoices, pickup history, and customer support communications).
- Identity information at pickup (such as government-issued identification presented for pickup verification).
3.2 Payment Information
We use third-party payment processors to process payments (currently Lightspeed for point-of-sale checkout). We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems. Payment processors may collect and store payment information in accordance with their own privacy policies and security practices.
3.3 Information Collected Automatically
- Device and usage information (such as IP address, browser type, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, pages viewed, links clicked, and session information).
- Approximate location information (such as location inferred from IP address).
- Cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7).
3.4 CCTV / Video Surveillance
For safety, security, loss prevention, and operations, we may use video surveillance (CCTV) in areas such as our parking lot and customer pickup areas. Customers do not enter our warehouse areas. Where permitted by law, video may be recorded and retained for a limited period.
4. How We Use Information
We may use information we collect for the following purposes:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and improve the Services and auction experience.
- Create and manage accounts; verify identity for pickup; and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access.
- Process transactions; issue invoices/receipts; and provide customer support.
- Send transactional communications (e.g., account notices, purchase confirmations, and pickup reminders).
- Send marketing communications where permitted by law (see Section 5).
- Analyze usage and performance to improve our Services, including through analytics and reporting.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms and Conditions.
5. Communications and Marketing
5.1 Email Marketing
If you subscribe or otherwise opt in, we may send marketing emails using Mailchimp. You may opt out of marketing emails at any time by using the “unsubscribe” link in the email or by contacting us at bid@triangleliquidators.com. Even if you opt out of marketing emails, we may still send transactional messages related to your account and purchases.
5.2 Text Messages (SMS)
We may send text messages for pickup reminders and (in the near future) marketing communications through our service provider MoBiz. Message frequency may vary; message and data rates may apply. You can opt out of marketing texts by replying STOP to a marketing message or by following the instructions provided in the message. Transactional texts (such as pickup reminders) may still be sent where necessary to provide the Services.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information as follows:
- Service providers and vendors who help us operate the Services (e.g., hosting, email delivery, SMS delivery, analytics, customer support tools, and payment processing).
- Legal and safety reasons, such as to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, protect rights and safety, or investigate fraud or security incidents.
- Business transfers, such as in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets (subject to applicable law).
We do not share buyer personal information with consignors or vendors for their independent use; buyer information is used internally and shared only with service providers as described above.
7. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers may use cookies, pixel tags, local storage, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, understand usage, and improve performance. You can typically control cookies through your browser settings. If you disable cookies, certain features of the Services may not function properly.
Analytics and Advertising. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our Services. We may also use advertising and conversion tracking tools such as Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Google Ads conversion/remarketing tags to measure ad performance and show relevant advertisements. These tools may collect information such as pages visited, actions taken, identifiers, and cookies. You can learn more about Google Analytics and how to opt out by using Google’s opt-out tools and adjusting your device/browser settings. You can also control certain advertising preferences through your platform settings (e.g., Google ad settings, Meta ad preferences) and by managing cookies in your browser.

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Services, maintain records for business purposes, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and applicable requirements.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. However, no system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.

Our Services are intended for users in the United States. We do not target international customers and do not offer shipping. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed in the United States.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on our websites and update the Effective Date. Your continued use of the Services after the Effective Date of an updated Privacy Policy means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
